Today, we have May 31th and the season will officially start tomorrow. Then we will present our new horse show for the first time. From June 1st there will be a daily presentation of the Icelandic horse in our new riding hall where visitors from all over the world will learn about the history, culture and of course its gaits of the Icelandic horse.
Everybody is very excited about this new adventure and of course and with only one day left, we are all very busy around the farm. We practise our show every day and as you can see on the pictures, there is much to learn both for horses and riders. We ride with flags, in ladies saddles or show how the horse has been used in agriculture.
Meanwhile the builders are giving their best to finish our riding hall in time. Today, the sand arrived for the ground of our indoor riding arena. Now, the builders are busy to distribute it in the hall so we can ride our horses on flexible ground.
Even though not everything will be on its place during the first week of riding shows, our riding hall will be ready for the grand opening on June 7th.
