Riding Course and Horse Trekking Tours
Eldhestar has previously offered a combination of riding education, both theoretical and practical in our new Riding Hall, along with different trekking tours in a diverse terrain. From now on, this package will be offered more often as a standard program.

Participants stay at Hótel Eldhestar, and in the evenings they have the possibility to enjoy our hot pots ("heitur pottur" in Icelandic) or to visit the swimming pool in Hveragerði, one of the best in Iceland. The course will give an insight in how to ride Icelandic horses, explaining the similarities and dissimilarities to riding big horses. We will put emphasis on the training of the different gaits and how to improve the horse´s movements and balance through different training methods.

4 days and 3 nights, three days of riding.

Dates: October 11 and November 15, 2012. Jan 17, Feb 7, 21 and March 14, 2013.

Price 2013: 475 EUR per person, based on a stay in a double room.
